I liked this User Meeting better than other similar meetings that I've been to because the people there were open about sharing their experiences - both the upside and downside of their work, which I found really refreshing.

Around Boston

Boston's got a lot to offer, whether you're a history buff, sports fan, or art connoisseur. Learn more about the sites and sounds of Boston in the following places.

Here are some of our favorites:

North End – The hustle and bustle of Boston's Italian section will greet you with wafts of the best Italian food and pastries this side of the Atlantic. Not too much has changed since Paul Revere and his horse rode through this historic section of downtown Boston. Take the Green Line T stop to North Station and walk to Hanover Street.

Beacon Hill – The home of Boston's original Brahmin and its close proximity to the State House gives this area its regal appeal. A great area to stroll around after visiting the Boston Public Garden, a beautiful horticultural exhibit of plant species from all over the country. Steep, cobble stoned streets, beautiful homes and gardens make this an area not to miss. Take the Red line to Charles Street stop and walk up Charles Street.

South End – Quaint brownstone townhouses adorn brick sidewalks and grassy squares in Boston's hip, nouveau district where you will find independent boutiques, excellent restaurants and cafes. It's the perfect place to stroll around for a few hours.

Chinatown – A small area on the outskirts of the financial district provides a plethora of amazing Asian food restaurants including everything from Dim Sum to Shabu Shabu to Sushi. The theatre district is just beyond here.

Back Bay – A walk down Newbury Street and you will feel like a million bucks, or maybe it's the swanky high-end stores and cafes that give it the essence of exquisiteness. Window shop at Cole Haan, Hermes and Cartier, or pick up a book at Borders or the independent, Trident, buy that must have pink flamingo lamp at Urban Outfitters. Whatever you fancy, it is all here for the taking. And a possible sighting of Tom Brady may make your day complete.

Fenway Park - The names Ortiz, Ramirez, Drew and Lowell probably don't mean much to you if you are not a fan of our hometown, World Series winning, baseball team. Bostonians have lived and died, since April 20, 1912 on what happens at Fenway. Even if you are not a RED SOX fan you can still enjoy the nostalgia of the country's oldest and quaintest baseball park. Live the great American past-time on a tour of the inner sanctions of Fenway including the press box and the 406 club. Tours are offered daily - (617) 267-1700 - 4 Yawkey Way Boston - Fenway stop on any Green Line T - except the E train!
